The upper classes hardly need to spend time on such plebeian forums as these, they're much too busy hoodwinking the nouveau middle classes into defending their toxic political policies, whilst not realising that they're only a couple of paydays away from facing the exact same situation as I did. Trust me, no-one will help.0 -

She seems upset that she had to pony up £250 a month for her rent. I'm trying to work out what changes to local housing allowances would result in such a large deficit in the difference. The changes I can think of that would make such a difference, would be either the maximum room rate moving to four rooms, and maybe the benefit cap. If its either of these, i have a very very small violin you can borrow.
The changes in percentile (that she makes reference to), its hard to see how that would make such a big gap.0 -
You do have a lot of anger in there. It was you that brought up the political point, and it was you who derided others for having 'vile children'.0

It would be a shame if the inaccurate information about the origins of "Black Friday" were to be taken as fact.
Here is a link which explains the REAL origin of "Black Friday" - a phrase which came into use in the USA a century AFTER the abolition of the slave trade.

Edited to add: If this post now seems rather random and off subject, that's because it was made in response to a (now deleted) post by the OP which linked Black Friday to the slave trade...e cineribus resurgam("From the ashes I shall arise.")0 -
Erm Black Friday was named as such in the 1960's by the Chicago PD orc, due to the violence, accidents and the odd death during the scramble for bargains...0

In my area, LHA was equal to the bottom 30% of the rental sector for a 3 bed house three years ago. Then rents started going up because we are 12 miles outside London (incl Greater London). People started moving from London to here because of cheaper rents and easy commutes to London.
Now rents are £950 per month plus, and my LHA is basically unaltered (been frozen, with the odd small increase) so I'd have to pay £200 per month extra. That's on top of all the other changes that mean I pay out more.
I live in a very ordinary, badly repaired 3 bed terraced house. I can't move out of the area because of the services provided for my sons, that in one case its taken well over a year to get. So I am trying to council housing now my LL wishes to evict me (no arrears ever). No extra rooms. Its just a below average house.0 -

You can apply for DHP (discretionary housing payment) to clear arrears to allow you to move into a more suitable property. Dont let them fob you off be persistent.0 -
Pre-empting the next post "there's no smoke without fire" - yes there is, it's called chem trails and it's what's keeping people sedated so they don't revolt.0
