Is it good to use Kindle Fire as a PDF reader?

Hi everyone,
As you know, Kindle Fire is being sold very cheaply by a few dealers.
According to most reviews, this is a mediocre tablet. After all, its original price is only about £50.
However, you can add more storage via the SDCard, up to 128 GB.
I have many pdf and epub files. What if I add as many files as possible into this Kindle Fire, using it as a document storage and reader?
Do you think the table will be very fast for this purpose?
Thank you
