House for sale...

You would hope that the people bidding have actually made an appointment and gone to see the house! I have never seen such terrible pictures of a house for sale before. The front one is bad enough but the one of the back is the wrong way round and blurry. Buyer beware I think!
What did I do at work before I discovered MSE?!

NOW - not sure, due to boyfriend going back to uni for masters and now pgce. Worth it in the long run!

Their not actually bidding on buying the house so i don't really see the point in it..also anyone could just take pictures of any house to sell..
• If they're not bidding on the house, just what exactly is it you reckon the bids are for? Title is 'House For Sale', in the properties section of Ebay. It looks to me like they're buying a house.

Apologies Kim, just seen the caveat at the bottom. Was wondering how much FVF's would be for something like that though.
I haven't been asked to tell you that I'm the Board Drunk for this board. As the night wears on, my posts will become worse, with simple spelling mistakes, inane ramblings, and a blatant disregard for the truth. I have no authority to do anything, so there's no point asking or telling me. If you see me past midnight, please tell me to get my coat and order me a taxi.

From ebay website:-

Real Estate
Due to the wide variety of laws governing the sale of property, eBay auctions of real property are not legally binding offers to buy and sell that property. Instead, they are simply a way for sellers to advertise their real estate and meet potential buyers. At the close of the auction, the seller should contact the high bidder to discuss entering into a contract for the real property. However, neither party is obligated to complete the real estate transaction. This type of transaction is called a Non Binding Bid.

The purchase and sale of property is a complicated matter that is often governed by local and international laws. You are strongly advised to seek the help of a licensed real estate professional and/or a conveyancing solicitor to help you in the negotiation and sale of any real estate.

Please note that eBay fees for real estate transactions are different from typical eBay transactions. All real estate listings are charged a flat £30.00 listing fee. There is no final value fee for real estate auctions.

These rules apply only in listings of real estate on eBay. In the case of real estate auctions, if these rules conflict with eBay's User Agreement, these rules apply.
