Morning
Got a problem with new laptop which was running great until last eve when suddenly my search engine changed from whatever laptop came with to Yahoo, today there are pop up ads all over Amazon and elsewhere making there sites almost un-usable, I know one of the pop ups name is Brown fox and Candle jar, Flicker something.
How the hell do I get rid of them, my Macaffe security keeps telling me about iffy site trying to get in, Help is needed please.

You probably installed something and never read the Terms and Conditions, you just agreed, and by doing so gave permission to install whatever they liked.
Download Malwarebytes, install and run it, with luck it should find the offending problems.0 -

But still worth considering using an alternative to Mcafee. It didn't help much tghis time and at some point they will want money to renew.0

It seems that your computer has got infected by adware. Try detecting and removing all those adware related files with Malwarebytes.0
