Laptop as desktop PC without a dock?

    Ahhh I see, didnt know that. will there be much difference between dual core and quad core? (other than there being 2, and 4 of them) In laymans term please

    it really depends on what you are doing.

    but assuming the cores are equal, quad core will have twice the processing power over a dual core.

    laptop and desktop cores are not equal however. The laptop i7 gets beaten by the desktop's i3. So theres quite a performance gap between the 2
