Hi, i' going to Bristol on wed. with my husband and son,18 years, before he goes to uni. there in October. Can anyone suggest any "must do/see" things/ activities. We will be there for 4 days. Also are there any money saving tips we should know about. We will have the car and our hotel is booked so its just stuff to do/see really. We will also be visiting Bath probably, the Royal Photography Society.
Thanks

As you enter Bath off of the Dual carrigeway take a left turn into the park and ride, parking in Bath is terrible. Or buses run every 10 - 15 mins from Bristol City centre.
If you are going to Bath and you are fit and don't mind walking, take one of the walking tours around the city. I think they have open buses too.0 -
Thanks BritBrat,
that's just the sort of stuff I needed.

Depending on where you are staying, how about getting the train into Bath from Temple Meads?0

Bristol is a fantastic city, but with a crazy one-way system. So do as much travel as possible by local bus or train, or just wander around on foot.
And don't forget to see the church of St Mary Redcliffe: an absolutely stunning building (near Temple Meads station).0
