Road markings

I think they're wrong.
Look at the chevrons of the actual roundabout.
I use to work at a place that did road markings and thinking back to some of the men who were out on the road, i'm not surprised.Liverpool is one of the wonders of Britain,
What it may grow to in time, I know not what.

When it's the "wrong way" it means the adjacent lane drives the same direction (one way).
Though not sure if that makes complete sense.
I think when it's the wrong way it means it's splitting 2 adjacent lanes further apart when it's the right way it means it's bringing two lanes closer together like in a motoway entry lane.0 -
According to the Traffic Signs Manual, chevrons in road markings should always point towards approaching traffic, so their direction seems right.
However, as far as I can see nothing else about the markings has any resemblance to anything allowed in the regulations, so they're meaningless.0 -
I'm assuming they spent £2m on those road markings just to stop people straight lining the roundabout.“I may not agree with you, but I will defend to the death your right to make an a** of yourself.”

They look pointless, confusing and possibly dangerous to me!0

Very pretty.
But they are functionless and mean nothing - certainly nothing nothing legal or prohibitive.0
