Coach booking help!

Hi,
I hope I'm writing in the right forum! Apologies if not!
I'm getting married this Saturday and have booked a coach to take my evening guests from our town to the wedding venue 10 miles away. I have paid for this up front via PayPal. The booking has been confirmed a number of times via the telephone but I have yet to have written confirmation of my booking. They have not responded to any of my emails requesting this. I called Monday and was told it would be with me by the end of the day. Then called again Tuesday to be told it would definitely be sent to me Tuesday or Wednesday, still nothing. So called again today to be told it will be sent tomorrow (Friday).
My concern is that my wedding insurance will not cover a "no show" as there's nothing in writing except a quote and a PayPal receipt (with the quote number on) as everything else has been done verbally.
If the transport does indeed fail to appear what are my consumer rights with
A. Getting my money back from the transport company
B. Covering the additional cost of transporting my guests from A to B (which will end up.being taxis I think, and ultimately very costly)
Thanks in anticipation
Bex

You have a contract in place, offer and acceptance with payment as proof. It doesn't need to be in writing, the action of you paying are enough to raise a claim, but as above no point worrying over nothing.0

^^ Exactly. I'd be worrying if this was me.“Learn from the mistakes of others. You can never live long enough to make them all yourself.”

Could you speak to paypal?
Also maybe post this on the eBay board where you'll get more responses .0 -
The good thing about consumer law is that you can deal with things after the fact. Don't worry about your coach not turning up - just worry about having a backup plan in case it doesn't. You have pretty clear cut contract formed with the booking and should they fail to arrive it is entirely reasonable for them to cover any expenses caused as a result of them not adhering to their end of the contract.
If the worst come to worst, keep receipts.
But don't worry about that, you're getting married! Marrying the one you love will always be, in my eyes fantastic, the energy you feel on the day as you hold them and stare lovingly into their eyes. Many people overthink their big day but I prefer to keep things simple days like this are special because they only happen once.
Enjoy them. Don't sweat the small things.0 -
