60% gain in a day or error?

Is youinvest.co.uk having issues? Logged into my SIPP, and I found this

Stewart Investors Indian Subcontinent Fund Class B (Accumulation) GBP

62.25+

It was -9 yesterday, is this an error or has that fund had an epic increase? It has been showing a 2000 gain now for about 3 hours. Surely this can't be right?

  • still showing a 60 percent gain, up £2184 overall. Crazy.. What would happen if I did sell now, and it turned out to be an error?

  • I noticed a fund pricing issue with another popular online platform yesterday. They basically said, "Oh yes thanks for noticing we'll sort that out and get back to you". Does make one wonder how many mistakes these people are making. I also have those Gus Gorman suspicions. If they take a tiny fraction of a % from everyone they make a decent profit. I have noticed small discrepancies between prices on the platform and prices on morningstar, for example; 0.22% versus 0.23%

Some might think i'm a conspiracy nut. Its not that. It's just everyones out to get me!

OP I've seen strange numbers on CSD from time to time, it's immediately obvious it's not right though and a page refresh has always fixed it (so far).

    ...I have noticed small discrepancies

I had an issue with Best Invest a few years ago about a pricing issue which they acknowledged and completely failed to explain satisfactorily. That was also about pricing, initial charge via spread, the creation price, additional spread etc. it all got quite convoluted but the short of it is their own explanation and calculations still only worked properly for three of the four purchases. The four funds affected were from AXA and Blackrock.

They never resolved it, the discrepancies involved were tiny anyway so I just dropped it. I had similar thoughts about them being "creative" with client accounts though, if it's right it needs to be right or it's not, anyway it helped persuade me to move on.

I had a shock the other day. One £18k holding was valueless due to a name change. Initially when I looked at the summary I nearly had a heart attack........
