  • Ok I am with you. I am just totally thrown by his comments that the deposit could be sent higher up the chain to a developer. My vendor is not a developer and the property he is purchasing is chain free. So I do not see whom at the higher end of the chain needs my money, bar potentially my vendor.

    Maybe he just used the wrong word when he said developer or he was speaking in general terms rather than about your specific transaction?

  • I agree, he could of been using lingo that's more accustomed in conveyancing but obviously has thrown me!

    In an ideal world you should be able to get through to them for clarification!
