Tesco Christmas Delivery Slots

I just wanted to vent about Tesco. I have known for a few weeks that the delivery savers customers can get their Christmas delivery slots today from the early hours. I loaded up a basket ready to check out my delivery. I woke up at 4am this morning and thought I would check if the slots were free yet, they didn't come up so I went back to sleep. When I woke at 7 I checked again, same thing, didn't come up, then at 8am I looked on my computer and they were all sold out! I was so fed up as I know that recently Tesco have been inviting people to try delivery saver for either free or next to nothing with the promise of early access to Christmas delivery slots so probably loads of people have done that - I don't blame them, I would too - except I have been a loyal customer for well over a year. I do my weekly shop with them every week.
I phoned customer services this afternoon and told them about my experience, the chap asked if the first 2 times I had used the mobile app? I said yes and he said 'Oh yes, we had an IT problem which meant the slots didn't show up unless you used an actual computer!' I pointed out my loyalty to Tesco and he just said there is nothing he can do, it was an IT problem and they are sorry. So fed up with them, seems loyal customers count for nothing!!! :mad:

Of the slots have gone, they've gone. Unfortunately they cannot create nor trucks or time.

If they were only available to customers like yourself; then it follows there are more loyal customers than available slots.

As all the delivery slots were booked by 8am, I'd guess only a small percentage were made available early to Delivery Saver customers.

Christmas week hasn't been opened up to the rest of us yet. Additional slots may appear when it is.

I understand they can't create more trucks etc but I am cross at their 'ah well you should have used a computer' attitude.

I was led to believe that all slots are gone, they are released to priority customers today and if anything is left over then they go on general sale.

I've just logged in and had a look and can't book anything after 16th December, it says later slots will be available for the 30th November and onwards.

I booked a Dec 23rd slot at 12.30 am and had my pick of the slots.Looked again at 5am and only the first 3 slots were booked.Looking now that day is full,as is the day before,just about.
