Need to do market research.
For example student rental - high yield, lots of tenant turnover.
Family rental - minimum 3 bed.

As i understand, the newly announced 3% stamp duty surcharge would also kick in on the the second house purchase then. the order in which you buy the houses has financial repercussions.0

Could the vendor of the house you want not move into rented accommodation?
When we went to view the house, we were told that the vendor would chain break and move to rented. He's since changed his mind as he wants to port his mortgage across. (see why we don't have much confidence in him?)0
