Regardless of how well known this fault is, Peugeot/Citroen are LEGENDARY for electrical faults that write of relatively new cars.“I may not agree with you, but I will defend to the death your right to make an a** of yourself.”

No wonder you see so many of these cars in auto trader and garages, I guess the Japanese cars go first. When you look into an abyss, the abyss also looks into you. Nietzsche
Please note that at no point during this work was the kettle ever put out of commission and no chavs were harmed during the making of this post.0 -
Hindsight! If this helps current owners to have this checked out and future owners to raise this issue at point of sale then some good will come from this.
Anyway, after emailing Peugeot CEO, a slightly positive holding response from Arnold Clark:
"We are working with the branch to see if we are able to offer you a greater contribution towards the outstanding repair on your car. We will come back to you as soon as we can, we have contacted Peugeot ourselves and are waiting on confirmation from them, once we have this we will contact you with a proposal to resolve this matter for you."
Let's see what happens...0 -

Japanese cars just don't go in auto trader etc. People just buy them and run and run and run and run them. If it doesn't give you aggro, you don't need to pass it on to some other poor sod.0 -
