over seas credit card

hello, im looking for help on a credit card to use while im abroad.
I would like to find one which doesn't charge you a handling fee, and gives you 6-12 months interest free aslong as you pay the minimum off each month.
Ive done some research and seen that the Halifax Clarity Credit Card is advised, but I do not understand all the jargon. im hoping for someone to "dumb it" down for me.

I fear you won't find a card that gives you both a 0% rate on purchases and free use overseas. A Clarity and paying off the full balance every month is the best option, and to be honest if you can't afford to do that can you really afford to spend 6-12 months on holiday?

Nationwide Select* and, Saga Platinum both offer no-load overseas spending and >6 months 0% interest on purchases. However, I'm guessing by the OP's user name they won't qualify for the latter.
