You get 1Gb of space free and it's easy to upload photos using the excellent free Picassa http://picasa.google.com/

Totally agree Picasa is a great program and then 1gb Free Web Album is really good. If for some reason you do not want to install Picasa you could try Microsofts new skydrive visit http://skydrive.live.com/

Kodakgallery is another, you get 40 free photos at the moment when you sign up. Only pay P&P.
