Hello
I'm filling out my MA form.
Part 5 question D - have you stopped working for an employer to have your baby?
The answer is yes and no!
I stopped work in November 2006 to have a baby and I am still on maternity leave.
I am expecting another baby in October 2007.
Hence I have stopped work, but not for this pregnancy.
So do I answer No - as this next lot of maternity leave won't start until October - and ignore the fact that I am currently on maternity leave?
Thanks!
JoJo

Answer 'No' and then explain your situation at the back of the claim form MA1.
As you are still employed, you will need to give your employer form Mat B1. Your employer will decide if you are entitled to SMP or not. If you are, they will pay it. If not, they will give you form Mat B1 back and provide you with form SMP1.
To make an MA claim, you will then need MA1, Mat B1, SMP1 and 13 weeks /3 months payslips.0 -
