Energy switch
Having gone through the Energy Club on MSE and put in to switch to the British Gas dual fuel Collective fix December 2016 I thought everything would run smoothly, purely because I am already with BG
How wrong I was.
My gas has been changed to the new tariff but not my electricity.
Contacted BG, can't assist, can only be put through by MSE.
Contacted MSE, they tell me everything was put through to BG.
Contacted BG again, no details sent by MSE.
I am wasting time on the phone with BG to sort but they can't help.
Don't understand why I have the got the gas tariffs only when it is a dual fuel
deal.
I really wished I hadn't bothered with all the hassle I am now going through.

Send a formal complaint to British Gas. They do tend to get looked at by someone with a bit of authority who could sort it out. Tell them also about the additional cost of calls and higher energy while waiting to switch and they will most likely pay something in compensation.0

I'd agree with t0rt0ise - it is worth making a formal complaint if British Gas are proving you with incorrect info.
