Not sure how many of you have been following my story, I haven't posted much about it but the last time I did I was wondering how to come up with the fees to actually go BR.
Anyway I have had my last Housing Benefit cheque through a week ago which was for £200 and I get my first pay from my new job next Friday which will be just over a month's money. Also put my mobile phone on eBay to raise a bit extra... My Mum has said she will help me through September if I am short which means I can go ahead and file for BR the week after I get paid.
I have completed the forms online and I will call the court on Tuesday to arrange an appointment... is there anything else I need to do??
On a side note my bank (Halifax) are being complete w*****s about me going over my overdraft when I was unemployed, they are ringing me about 3 times a day now after I told them I could give them £10 a month which they refused!! The guy was talking over me and really couldn't see that I can't afford more than that! Anyway they called the other night at 9pm and then at 9am this morning (a Sunday!!!). Can't wait to get them off my back, they're the only ones hassling me now out of all my creditors, it's so stressful!!

Hi Miss Muppet, well done for taking what is a brave step towards a new more in controle life.
Re bank we found that when we said we were taking advice from the CAB about our money problems and that we would be delighted to get things solved
as quickly as possible so we could clear the overdraft asap, they were more polite and tended to give more time between calls. We did this rite up to day of BR.Dont offer them anything the CAB is working it all out for you;) hope this helps a little.
Keep us informed and remember that everyone involved in the process, judge, clerk,OR and creditors are only human like you and look silly in the buff with a carrott in their ear:rotfl:Some of the best lessons we ever learn,we learn from our mistakes and failures.the error of the past is the success and wisdom of the future. :j0 -
Good luck Miss..and welll done on getting the money together, i know how hard that can be!
I hope you manage to get a quick court date. I had to wait nearly 5 weeks from asking for a date to actually getting there.
As Madoldbat said, bluff the Halifax (NOT my fav people at the mo either) or ignore your calls.
keep us informed as to how things go for you and good luck

Thanks guys, now I have a goal of next week it feels less stressful!! Going to call the court today to try and get an appointment, fingers crossed they'll have one... not sure I could wait another 5 weeks!
I haven't had my income level checked, this is my first pay from my new job so I don't even know how much I'm getting exactly... but I think I can safely say my money will be all accounted for each month, I will make sure though when I get my wage slip that I can manage.
So apart from the forms, is there anything else I need to take to the court??

Hi miss
Just the money and forms really. I wish i'd taken a drink and some nibbles because i was waiting around for over an hour but some people seem to be in and out very quickly.
Good luck with getting your court date. The first time we said hello, was the first time we said goodbye. As the angels took your tiny hand and flew you to the sky-you forever left us breathless. RIP my beautiful granddaughter
