Aggressive Windows 10 upgrade

It would appear microsoft are getting very aggressive with Windows 10 upgrades.

On boot up this morning a message appeared saying upgrade now or later I pressed later but it still proceeded to download - I then pressed stop download and it still would not stop and even using task manager - then it also said cleaning up files - I then had a accept/decline message - I declined and it finally stopped saying in red failed.

With tactics like this I now may never upgrade.

Are microsoft really that desperate to upgrade everyone?

Yep.

Even if you do not want it, they still download it in the background and also share it so your uploading to others.

Try the GWX control panel tool it will remove all traces of Windows 10

I have used this tool and it seems to do the job.

It also has the option to reinstate the ability to install windows 10 should you have a change of heart at some point.
