Anglian Water meter readings
I moved into my house in August 2014. I am a customer of Anglian Water.
I paid £26 PCM from August 2014 until February 2015 and then £14PCM from February 2015 until now.
I am a single person living in a three bedbroom property. I have a few questions:
1) Should I be taking meter readings using this form: https://www.anglianwater.co.uk/household/water-meters/provide-meter-reading/
2) If the answer to question 1 is yes, then how often do you provide a meter reading?
3) Is the bill automatically adjusted after providing a reading?
4) Have I overpaid as a result of not providing regular meter readings? Will my bill be adjusted to take this into account when I provide a meter reading?

The water meter in my area (also Anglian Water) is read twice a year by Anglian and billed shortly afterwards. In 25 years, I've never given them a reading.
it is adjusted every year but if you think it should be adjusted at any time then call them to discuss it. I had a large credit on one 6 monthly bill and rang up. I discussed why the consumption had gone down ( 2 adult kids left home) and they sent back the credit and reduced the DD by 40%.0 -
Not normally necessary to read meter.
As they now have over a year's history of consumption for your house, they will be able to make an accurate estimate of future costs and set your DD accordingly.
With your £25/£14 DD you will have a credit or debit balance at the end of the financial(billing) year on 31 March 2016. This debit/credit balance will be taken into account in setting the DD in April.0
