Did you do your eggs ??
I carve and embroider on eggs so to prep :
If carving blow out eggs and wash -- carve them then soak in bleach to get rid of membrane
If embroidering blow out eggs and wash -- make holes then soak in bleach to get rid of membrane -- then embroider
If you are just sticking sparkles and trim on them wash and soak in bleach then decorate0 -
Thanks sodajazz
I ended up, once I blew them, I injected with water, to was out, and then injected with a sterilising solution, that you use for babies bottles, then when full with so!utuion let them sink in the same so!ution for 24 hrs..
Would love to see some pics of your embroidered eggs!!
Edit..WOW!! Just googled embroidered eggs.. Flipping heck they are beautiful!!
I just wish there were classes near me to learn how to do it..Work to live= not live to work0 -
Sterilising is ok but you really need to kill the membrane because over time it shrinks and damages the egg
If you google or Facebook sodajazz pumpkins you'll find my eggs0 -
I use a mild steralizing bleach like Milton, so do I need to use something stronger ??
I want to have a go at crafting with them, but what to try and sell some various blown eggs to other crafters..
You are very talented your pumpins are amazing!!!Work to live= not live to work0
