Economy 7 meter but not on Economy 7 tariff

Hi, I have a Economy 7 meter with E-on, but am on a standard single rate tariff. i am thinking of moving over to British Gas, but cannot get any answers from them over the phone.
1. Can I have a Economy 7 meter but single rate tariff with Briish Gas
2. If I have to have a new meter to accommodate this change, who bears the cost.
3. British Gas seamed to know nothing about the "MoneySupermarket" exclusive tariff, how can they manage it ?

Hope you guys can help.

I have an economy 7 meter and am with British Gas.

The time clock has been stopped so there is no usage on the Economy 7 tariff.

Moved in in March. Took BG a while to accept that I was not on E7, and they put me on the wrong tariff initially. Took a formal complaint to get it sorted out but all is well now.

You bear the cost of a meter change if required, normally around £60 per meter.

Yes with BG you can be on a single rate tariff with an E7 meter.

Like Eon if you use, say, 1,000kWh on off-peak register and 3,000kWh on peak rate register it is treated as 4,000kWh on a single rate tariff.

    1. Yes you can have a single rate tariff with an Economy 7 meter with BG
    2. If a meter change is needed, which it shouldn't, you bear the cost of changing the meter, unless it develops a fault.
    3. BG advisers might know nothing specifically about the new MSE Fixed Collective as they are not allowed to sell or promote this product, you must sign up using a Collective switches broker, who request the transfer
