:beer: Yes folks, we entered our first ever flower show and won with all our efforts:

DH won a class of mixed garden fruits

I won Novice potato grower (it meant novice as in never having shown before) In a class of 1 I got 1st prize!!!

And finally.... I won ugliest vegetable
with a seriously deformed pink fir apple potato

Unfortunalty you're supposed to leave the exhibits to be auctioned and I didn't take a photo, but we have our certificates .. and £2 for each prize!!
I can't think when I've ever felt so proud!!! (seriously)

This is only a small show but now we're really keen to have another go for the spring show, so everyone seek out your local horticultural society, it's so exciting!:T

I know when I won how chuffeed I was, and you shoud feel the same, you are up against folk who live & breath gardens sometimes, and although many are in it for the spirit of it, bit of fun, some are very competitive

well done it's always better when you know all your effects have been worth it...I came 2nd in a garden comp once...just the thing when you think every one's else's are better than your's...but then you win and you feel great...well done again..,good on ya...:D:j:j:j

Thanks all, I'd also like to thank my family who've supported me, mum and dad without whom I wouldn't be here.....

It's so funny but I'm really proud of my wee certificates!!

You're so right Farway, there are people who enter every single class and have obviously won everything for years - didn't think they'd fancy an interloper, the woman at the receiving evening told me we were 20 years too young!!
