The error is that you're in the wrong lane. The slow lane is for lorries and people coming off at the next junction only. It'd be much safe for you to sit in the middle lane only... (sorry - couldn't resist...)

Heh heh, the OP is in the correct lane but at junctions I agree to use the 2nd lane to allow those to exit and those to enter the motorway.

If I recall correctly, there is a campsite on the left just after you exit. I'd guess they turned right out the campsite.

The caravan site doesn't open in Winter so probably not
