ASDA: Reclaiming for injury caused by food!

Hi all,
My tooth got broken a piece of plastic inside some food bought at Asda.
The bill to fix the damage (a cap to the tooth) was about £450.
Asda carried out an investigation and said they couldn't identify where the plastic came from so would take no further action. They've also refused to escalate the issue because an investigation has been done and closed.
Anyone got any thoughts on how this could be taken on?
I feel abandoned by Asda and made to feel like I'm trying to extort money from them.
