Would you get sanctioned if you left a job due to employer breaking law?

If you hand in your notice that would be voluntarily ending your job. But if you got sacked because you were treated unfairly regarding paid annual leave then its on the employer. If JSA ask why the job ended. Depends on how much you want to stay there.

Right have queried this again, they work full time, They have had 15 days off this holiday year, 1 week at Easter, 2 weeks summer which brings it to 15 days, add another 3 for Christmas will be 18 days this year, 10 short of the minimum.

The problem I think will happen is if you point out the facts to the employer and he sacks you he won't sack for this reason and if they end up getting sanctioned it will very hard to prove that the employer was bullsh**ing.

    You're not answering the questions:

What has the employer said when this has been queried? They may not be aware of the law.

Do they work bank holidays or are these taken in addition to the above?

I don't think the person has asked the employer, they did mention it to coworkers who said that's the norm in their, They work bank holidays, the 28 days includes them.

Then they need to address the issue in a non confrontational way. If they do not get a satisfactory response then they should seek alternative employment - they may wish to do this anyway.
