But they are nearly 70% carbs which is just as bad for a diabetic.
And white carbs at that, high GI.

Although one cracker has a low GL compared with a slice of white bread, I suppose. Which is a valid comparator if you stop at just one cracker - does such a person exist?

There's definitely recipes for healthy cracker type biscuits on those raw food Pin boards too.

I'm wondering if aunty has a computer - could give her a whole new interest looking these things up for herself (its gotta be better than some "old person" conversations I've been sat listening to in astonishment at the level of them - ie what they had for dinner/when they went to the loo!!!/etc LOL).
  • Thanks for all the replies, def food for thought! Love my aunty dearly, who by the way is highly intelligent and continues to have all her faculties but can be unbelievably stubborn but I always think at her ge probably what is keeping her going!
Nice idea re Aldi chocolate BB will be putting some in her xmas stocking.
    Thanks again.

  • I have bought the sugar free biscuits from the 99p store, I think its a spanish brand - they were fine. No one in the family realised they were sugar free.

Aldi is also doing stevia sweetened chocolate right now. Its in a white package - I think the brand is 'Swiss'.
No buying unnecessary toiletries 2014. Epiphany on 4/4/14 - went into shop to buy 2 items, walked out with 17!
