I would change garages, this one is incompetent.
Once the belt is tightened correctly so it is not slipping, see if the issue cures itself.
Some belts squeak despite being tightened. Try some Rocol belt dressing.0 -
I always used Exide Premium with the 4 year warranty and I always get one more powerful than recommended. My Landrover has had one in there over 4 years now and my Vauxhall has had one over 3 years and both register as being in excellent condition on a battery tester I borrowed recently.0

does "low voltage" have a number
it's cold, there is more drain on the electrics in winter, and batteries don't work as well, neither of which point to a replacement being needed
if the alternator is spinning, it's probably charging, - check the voltage with engine off and engine on, should be around 11.5 or above, and 14 or above. A bit of noise first thing in the morning doesn't necessarily mean there is a big issue0 -
