Saving attitude of mind

Options
I was reading some of the thread about how much people save each month and it struck me that the monthly savings figures are, in many cases, quite high and certainly a lot higher than I have read is the average household "save" in the UK. Only a minority of households have an emergency fund of 3 to 6 months of net income.

Everyone is at different life stages and, of course, people who read the savings and investments forum are likely to be a self selected group who are already convinced of the joy of saving (no irony intended) and of striving for financial independence.

To those readind the thread who are unable to save much, do not worry. You are already on the road to security and financial independence by reading this forum and by getting into the saving habit. It's not the amount which matters, it's the attitude towards saving against consuming.
