PPI from over 6 years - do I use a company

Options
Hi all,

A friend of mine recently used a company for her ppi and although they take 30% she was happy.

I've claimed my own in the past but my debts from when I was younger are years and years ago and I have no records and no clue if I had ppi so it's not something I can do myself.

Is it worth using a company to look into it for me - I know people don't keep records past a certain time but just wondered if there was a slight chance of anything. I had tons of debt in the past but can't remember half of it!

Thanks

All a CMC does is send a form (often the same style form) as you would send yourself to the lenders. if you dont know the lenders then a claims company is not going to know who to send them to as you need to tell them.

Your lending data is not in the public domain.

  • I've had a letter from findmyclaims.com, they reckon they can trace any lender even if you've forgotten the names. I'm wondering whether or not to let them do it for me?

And as your data is not in the public domain, how do you think they do that?

It is more likely they spam the lenders with a fake complaint hoping one or more stick
