Does this sound correct?

Spent a while searching out my Internet access and modem driver CD for Tiscali broadband and speedtouch modem as i'd got a new system.

All installed fine but the thing that seems odd is that when i set it up before on a laptop and another home computer about a year ago i had to put in the landline phone number and a number for tiscali which the documentation said what to set it at but this time nothing like that happened and when i connect there's no numbers, just my username and password.

any opinions on if this is fine or not?

It works doesn't it? No number is needed for USB modems even though they appear to dial the broadband connection. Get yourself a router - much better.
