Xbox Faulty - 2 weeks out of warranty

Hi guys,
Our Xbox has become faulty and it was purchased on the 5th November last year. We have phoned Argos to see where we stand and the lady has told us we need to get it looked at via an independent electrical person to prove that it isn't a fault we have done ourselves.
She told us she wasn't allowed to give us any names of places where we can take it. Who should I turn to?
Thanks in advance:money:

What is the fault?
No harm in contacting Microsoft support.0 -
Microsoft used to be pretty good for providing repairs - even if your console was out of warranty. Give them a try and see how you get on.You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means - Inigo Montoya, The Princess Bride0

The disk drive won't accept the disks. If you do push the disk in it can be ejected just doesn't like going in at all. Will give Microsoft a call tomorrow there is a number for them on the receipt. Thank you guys.. Let you know what they say0
