Just missed a NSD today as succumbed to some bargain Christmas paper and cards today....but at least that is next Christmas sorted! And 14 NSDs is not bad for December, the month when all the spendy demons are out on the town! Will definitely tighten them purse strings in January.

Igor, why are you, Hubert, Helga, Fabio and Chef all wearing false beards?

You idiot! Those are the sporrans knitwitch made.....at least Mrs Doyle is using hers as a handbag!

Is it time to serve the Brussels sprouts curry yet? Best get it over and done with before someone sets off the midnight fireworks - sprout curry and gunpowder is not a good combination.......pass me a pilchard margherita, seeing as somebody has quaffed all the Olde Widow champers!

Ooh look, the band are coming on....And they are going to play bagpipes and fiddles! Everyone take your partners for some Scottish jigging!

Igor, I know the band understand that Ennessdee Towers is a non-smoking establishment, and I appreciate the smokers among them are going outside during their breaks, but I do wish they wouldn't light up near the kitchen door. The midnight fireworks are in the box just outside the door. The Brussels sprouts curry is giving off some very pungent fumes. The turnip whisky that Chef brewed for tonight has taken the coating off the inside of the barrel, goodness knows what will happen once it is exposed to the air!

There is also the issue with all the sporrans and bunting knitwitch made from that cheapo synthetic wool substitute Igor got off t'internet......full of static it is, I'd hate to see what happened if a spark got to it.....

Think I'll hunt out the fire extinguishers, just in case.......Not that anything could possibly go wrong tonight........

Trust me after the last few parties there was no way that I was using my expensive Alpaca and lambswool mix!

By the way - what IS in that large bowl just inside the kitchen door?

I am reliably informed it's the sprout curry. Or maybe the cheese fondue. Then again, I have seen Igor mixing cocktails with it, and Hubert varnishing his hooves with it, so who knows?
