Applying for second 0% purchases card

Hi
Hoping someone can help me.
I have a good credit rating and want to keep it this way.
I have a Halifax 0% purchases credit card. It is in its last month of the promotional period so will go to 20% APR after this month. The card has been cleared and there is nothing owed on the card.
I have decided to apply for another 0% card and be a card tart.
In order to make sure my rating does not get damaged.
Should I cancel my Halifax card or just keep it going and not use it anymore?

There is no definitive answer to this as different companies look for different things to shape what is a good customer.
Personally I would cancel the Halifax card in a month or two though, if only to allow you to apply as a new customer in the future if you wanted to, possibly with a tasty 0% purchase period.
Whilst I have several cards, I close them once they have lost their useful period.0 -
I close mine too, but Iask they put a reason such as no longer required by customer.0
