  • sorry to hijack this thread, but it seemed easier than starting my own. i opened an icesave account about a fornight ago. i've logged in ok, but notice that £250 is due to be taken on the 28th Aug but i didn't manually make this payment, so do they do it automatically when you sign up? or did i agree to this being taken when i first signed up?

I don't remember any payment being set up automatically by direct debit. I thought I had to set it up manually. I may be wrong or the system changed in the last 10 months.

Look at the guarantee, it is a joke, if you do open this account watch it like a hawk, because the one thing Chelsea do is launch this type of high rate paying account. Then when you are not looking they all of a sudden drop the rate of interest!:rotfl:

You see, look at the small print, if they did not intend to do (drop the rate) this, then why have they guaranteed not to be below BOE base rate; instead they would have guaranteed to be above BOE base rate say by 0.5% for the first twelve months.

The Chelsea, are very shifty, i would go with ICE Save, so far they have been very good and honest!

    Unlike the Chesea outfit.

    So ICE Save NO CATCH

    Chelsea Riddled with catches

**BOE rate change up or down before 19th March 2009 - We will change where NECESSARY within 30 days OR BEFORE MAYBE? Another Chelsea riddle with a hidden catch maybe?

WILL THEY DROP THE RATE WHEN YOU ARE NOT LOOKING:rotfl:

The shifty gits have changed it to a 3rd ISSUE from a 2nd Issue, if you have this account be very carfull!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
