Well, I have to say the "must've shopped in this store" seems a bit of a daft clause to me.

It is for security reasons - a stolen nectar card and preventing all points wiped in one quick shop.

The majority of will shop in the same store and redeem their vouchers there, so no problem.

If a card does get stolen, then it means the thief cannot just spend the points easily unless the pick the right store.
Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')

No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)

Why oh why to people complain when they can't have their own way.

It's a Praise, Vents and Warnings forum. You can hardly be greatly surprised by finding someone posting a vent.
  • Nectar points have been like this for years and years. I find it really irritating too as I live a long way from a Sainsburys and I rarely visit the same one twice in succession.
  • I think you might find you can only double up points to a maximum of £40. So I'm not sure that you can double up your £250. Plus you can only spend in certain departments of the store. You really need to read the terms and conditions carefully as the offer is a bit limiting as to what you can spend the points on and how much the maximum double up element is.

Not saying i was going to spend the 250 on this. Just illustrating that i have done a lot of online shopping with them. I had 40 worth of stuff across 5 different departments. So 100 worth of nectar. 200 of vouchers.

Anyway. Like i said, they have now told me it was an error by the staff member. They could have called up nectar and after answering a security question they should have let me carry on.

Why not just require a photo id in such a crcumstance? And like i said i still should have been allowed to get the vouchers. They just had to ring nectar.
