Hilton HHonors credit card

I'd like to start collecting Hilton HHonors points. But the Barclays website for the HHonors card says as a condition: "You do not already have a credit card provided by us, including one of our partner cards". I presume "us" refers to Barclaycard, not Hilton.

So since I have, er, three credit cards provided by Barclaycard this isn't going to work. And there's no way I can get a card to collect HHonors points, issued by anyone else is there?

You can convert from Amex points at 1-2, good if you can put a decent portion of your spend on Amex. You can also exchange Tesco Clubcard vouchers for Hilton vouchers (but not into points), though the earning rate on the Tesco credit card is pretty poor.

Try exchanging one of your existing cards.

yes, i think exchanging is the way to go..if you can.

i've had the HHonors card in the past. CS was nice, but they were very difficult to extract the free nights certificate from, with Hilton and Barclaycard continually blaming one another.

until September you could apply for a 2nd or 3rd Barclaycard. they have trimmed back to 1 (or your existing accounts) now, but they have done this before & then changed strategy.

do you have great deals on cards you already have? if you have a good 0% deal then it's still worth prioritising that.

if you can get them to work with you you may be able to merge your limits on to one card. i have done that with them, and currently have Freedom Rewards with a 0%BT deal and a 0%Spending deal.. but will look to change further next year.
