Crazy hotel prices - check all sites!

We're going to Portugal in September, and while we're staying at my flat near Lisbon, we wanted to go one day to the Algarve, to visit my gran and get a bit of Algarve experience.
The place I like best is Vilamoura, specially if you're only staying 1 day and want a 'nice' one, because I love the marina area, and you get a choice of loads of restaurants and bars without having to drive around.
I did a quick search on several comparison sites, and was almost set on one hotel, most of the agency hotel sites had the same price. But then I just thought of seeing all Vilamoura hotels in the hotelclub.com site and saw another one that looked nicer and £12 cheaper (£76).
As it was a new one, I went to the other sites to check. It had great reviews everywhere (and I remember passing by it, so it looked great), and guess what: on expedia, for the same dates, it was over £200!!!
People really need to go everywhere when booking a hotel...
