Have you got a railcard? If you have then you can get a really good deal on the train - you could get to Gatwick for as little as £34 by booking two singles.
If you don't have a railcard then you can buy one at the moment for £15 by registering online and using this code DAILYM15

thanks for that Tom - we're in Cainscross. Who did you go with and how did you book? £6 per person sounds fantastic and we have all day to get there so 4 changes/legs is not a problem - probably an adventure for the kids.0
