Amazon fire stick

No sure if this should be hear or TV, but it's Internet based.
The fire stick I've got will not play anything from Amazon saying low bandwidth, my iPad will stream everything I throw at it, it's not too far away from the sky box so that's not the problem. I've downloaded the YouTube app and stuff plays on YouTube just not on anything from Amazon. Just find it frustrating.
I have tested download speed of 6.5 on my iPad

Firesticks I've used work fine with that kind of download speed available. It could be that yours is faulty.
One thing you could do as a further test is sideload Kodi on to the stick and see how well films and tv programs then play on it. http://www.htpcbeginner.com/install-kodi-on-amazon-fire-tv/0 -
why not check if your wifi is on a clear channel?
use a tablet or phone to "sniff" the clear channels then move the channel to a clear oneSave a Rachael

Yes I've got kodi, just used it for first time, watch film ok, just a little bit jumpy but no buffering.Jane x0 -
Streaming is dependant upon the source and can be very very hit and miss on Kdi .0

5 GHz or 2.4 GHz ?
If on 5GHz you could try this:

Edit, just noticed you say the pathetic Sky router which is still 2.4 GHz only.Science isn't exact, it's only confidence within limits.0
