In which case just open a standard Flexaccount.
I'd move that to Clydesdale and then open a Tesco account for the money.

Do you mean transfer £3K to a Tesco account and £500 to a Cysedale account (I believe Tesco offer 3% on balances up to £3K).

You can have two Tescos, each paying 3% on up to £3K. You could split your £3.5K between the two.

I would only open the Nationwide FlexPlus because of the incentive.
You really need to read the terms of the switching offer as well as those of the account you want to switch to.

A FlexPlus costs £10 a month, and you must keep the account for 3 months. Otherwise they'll take back the bonus. A bog standard FlexAccount is a much better option as it costs nothing.

Do you get a bonus with the flexaccount? I am only opening the account for the bonus.

Not sure if you read the link but if not it says:

We'd love you to recommend any of our accounts to your friends and family, but payments will only be made for switches to FlexDirect, FlexPlus and FlexAccount (Cash Card and FlexOne are excluded).
Remember the saying: if it looks too good to be true it almost certainly is.
