I feel so much better (though I realise there's a long long road ahead)
I will admit that I have a family visit upcoming to Europe. Stepchange has taken this into consideration and worked out my details accordingly. There'll be little cash to splash, but my son assures me he, my daughter in law and granddaughter aren't wanting loads of largesse, just me.
I've had to make and deal with numerous phone calls, letters etc, and it's been a bit stressful, but at least I can refer to Stepchange for advice and help.
I'd urge anyone who's despairing about debt to at least look into DMP. It's nice to sleep at night.

Well done - it's great isn't it

If you haven't done so already, pop over and join the great crowd on the DMP Mutual support thread
They are an absolutely fantastic bunch of people all living through the same issues, ups, downs and in-betweens. Other members of the forum also pop in for a chat. I can't recommend it enough - it really is my daily dose of friendship from people I know will understand me
