London 3 night stay

Does anyone have any tips to get a cheap place to stay for 3 nights in London? Three adults are going, two in a double/twin room and one in a single.
We're looking for good cheap hotels/b&b's. Not hostels or dives though! I've been looking on Late Rooms and there's some decent £50 - 60 per night rooms. We're going for a sightseeing trip really so must be near to a Tube station. Don't mind being being in places such as Paddington as long as near the tube station.
We also want to see the Terracotta Army exhibit at the British Museum but any ticket/stay package I've looked at is mega expensive!
Thanks for any help

We just returned from staying in a small town outside of London. I believe that would be your best bet, however if you have found a place for only 50 pounds in London you had better book it. London is the second most expensive city in the world. We loved the British Museum. It is a great city and England has so much to offer and see. We were there for 14 days and that was not enough time....we ran out of $$$,,have a great trip.

Have you checked out Travelodge? You can sometimes get rooms with them very cheaply. They're nothing special, but if you're just after somewhere to sleep that's ok.
The British Museum tickets are £12 each plus booking fee (usually about £3 I think). Book if you want a ticket near the start of the exhibition (13th Sept) as they'll soon be gone.0 -
If you go through quidco you get 10% cashback for items from the British Museum shop. I'm not sure if it works on ticket purchases though, but worth a try.

Might be worth trying Priceline.
