Advantis Debt Collection Agency on behalf of DVLA penalty
Hello
Received a letter from a debt collection centre called advantis.
"We are a Debt Collection Agency and have been appointed by DVLA to collect an outstanding Late Licensing Penalty that you owe due to the vehicle detailed above being unlicensed for a period of time."
Basically I forgot to tax my vehicle which ended at the start of July I think but lost my reminder letter and I taxed it sometime in mid August but this letter only arrived a few days ago.
Although it looks like I have to pay the £80.00 fine, can I not pay direct through DVLA and not through Advantis. Also I did not receive an official letter from DVLA regarding this matter (I have like a pigeon hole letter box on the wall on my front door so could have lost it).
Any help apprecicated. Thanks
