This card is not advertised online anywhere.
These letters are not sent to existing cash plus pre-paid card holders.
These cards are 'by invitation only' to individuals who have (somehow) been identified by cashplus as being in a situation where that would probably be rejected for anything else.
Which is probably good marketing on the part of cashplus.

He bought a book online for approx £17 and thought it worked like a normal credit card. It doesn't there was no interest free days and was charged 50p a day, unless the balance was under £5.

...that is a card to avoid. i would have thought simplification of your finances is the way to go dettelibre. i would just work towards having one current account with a direct debit to clear one credit card in full each month. ideally a current account that pays you interest, and a credit card which generates cashback/points of some kind.

I've activated my Cashbuilder credit card today.

Going to use it for petrol and or groceries and pay it in full every month, starting this month 28th.

I'll run it for a few months and check if there is any improvement in my rating maybe 1 year later,

I had written permission to deal with Cashplus over the gentleman I care for. He wanted to cancel the card, I rang and asked them why there is no mention of it on their website.
The advisor told me it is an 'Invitation' only card but to existing
    Pre-paid customers..

Another thing I found they never emailed when a statement was in or a payment due, which again they may do now? Nor do they send a postal statement.

Fortunately, he has now got a Barclaycard Initial.

ive never been one of their pre-paid customers, i did once fill in the form on their site but never actually applied, then IIRC i got a couple of emails and a letter stating my pre-paid card was ready, but there was no way im paying £60 for that. maybe they knew this too and i was on their system and they have since send me this offer.

then again i could be totally wrong and they may have got my details from elsewhere,

Receive1my 1st Cashplus statement today via e-mail reminder.

To dispel the rumours, 1 groceries transaction approx 60 quid.

No interest charged when I pay in full prior to repayment date 15thJan.

There is a fee for this card annually which will be added to statement next year.

Purchases approx %22. (if not paying in full -no complaints from me considering i'm re building post unemployment.

I'm going to use it as intended and maybe it will help my rating in a few yrs when dmp finishes.

That's great, but is totally and utterly meaningless. :rotfl:

I'm guessing a credit limit of £250 and a payment made of £60.51.

You mentioned previously that you wanted to use the card for credit building. To do that you should use it.

I did mention previously i'm going to use the card -until I got an e-mail from SC.

I posted this months statement to show it's a normal credit card (0 cost if balance paid in full when card is used) thats all (with almost 45% interest rate not 22% as I previously posted -my mistake.
