Hi has anyone else had any calls from Brunnel Franklin about miss claimed PPI. We are being inundated with phone calls on our mobiles and landline. When I answered a call I was told that when I had received the ppi claim money previously the bank had not returned all the moneys that we were entitled to so they would look into it for us!! I'm not 100% sure this is true and if it is I will be looking into it myself as they want 33% of any moneys returned!
I'm fed up of them ringing us and we have even told them not to call back and they are still doing it grrrrr

Cold calling sales reps earning a commission to get people signed up. It is ironic that they are doing the very same things that the bank did.I'm fed up of them ringing us and we have even told them not to call back and they are still doing it grrrrr

Some banks have been reviewing cases where PPI was complained about and refunded but may not have done the sums right.
Crucially though, the bank will let you know directly with no action required on your part, certainly you don't need a claims company who will simply send a letter to the bank asking them to check if your account was done correctly (which the bank will do anyway as above) and then ask for a chunk of any extra money for doing effectively nothingSam Vimes' Boots Theory of Socioeconomic Unfairness:
People are rich because they spend less money. A poor man buys $10 boots that last a season or two before he's walking in wet shoes and has to buy another pair. A rich man buys $50 boots that are made better and give him 10 years of dry feet. The poor man has spent $100 over those 10 years and still has wet feet.

I should perhaps have said that if you complain about cold calls to a CMC and they continue, you can ask the Legal Ombudsman to look at it.
Some CMCs argue that the callers are independent but if the CMC has contracted to buy any leads generated, they are on the hook.
Ideally, get the calls recorded.0
