My mums got a bee in her bonet about me getting her paint shop pro for her birthday, i'm sure she only wants it to doctor photos of herself (to make herself thin and wrinkle free!) or to cut the kids heads off photos and stick them on teddies bodies! The only thing is it's sooo expensive! Does anyone know of a good photo editing program that will do all the same things but cheaper or even free download? I have corel snapfire which is ok but very basic?

GIMP is an acronym for GNU Image Manipulation Program so get her that instead!

Another vote for GIMP0

Yep another vote for the GIMP. Its free, you can't complain and will do most things that pshop can do.
Photoshop Elemets might have been metioned already, but thats another choice certainly under the £100 mark.0 -
Paint.Net and GIMP are the best two free ones out there.
Paint.NET is a little more simple, but probably more familiar in design (as GIMP is designed for Linux)."Boonowa tweepi, ha, ha."0
