Just had a look at my pound a day savings a/c... Looking really good at the mo... I do a standing order for £7 a week to it ... Don't even realise it goes ... May readjust that to £2 a day for the second half of 2016 as I bought a coffee the other day that cost over £3... What was that all about... I came out the shop feeling like I had been pick pocketed... That's what made me think of bumping up the pound a day pot... I'd rather do that than get robbed for a coffee... After all it's just a few beans , hot water and a bit of milk... Not exactly a Michelin star recipe. That'll teach me not to look at the price!.😏

Great idea! The first year I did this challenge at £1 per day and found I soon got into the habit so upped mine to £2 per day, it's like you say the cost of a cup of coffee (which you can easily make yourself).

Well done on your savings so far

  • I have finished 3 Christmas presents so far and have come in under budget, so the money I have saved from the gifts I've put in my kitty towards Christmas food. #98 £285.99 /£350:j

I'm also putting in £5.00 a week transfer into a savings account for Christmas and I don't know/miss it's gone from my account. also put £2 coins in kitty when I get them.
