The idea of someone down there, anyone makes me feel sick. I literally cried when I got the letter at the thought of it. I'm sorry that makes many of you feel that I am stupid, maybe I am, I'm just scared.
Try making an appointment, I get mine done with the practise nurse at the GPs, once you get there a) explain that you are really worried/upset and they will have encountered other ladies that are equally concerned about the procedure, and they will go out of their way to explain things and put your mind at ease. b) tell yourself that if after that you really feel you can't do it, you will give yourself permission to walk out, but I think that you will, despite feeling nervous, also have enough of your worst fears allayed.
I go to all of mine, though usually a few months after the call date. Due now, but there's no flipping chance with work being so busy, so January it will be.0 -
