I have seen just seen this thread.
I contacted ncrowd in mid September about requesting a refund for a hotel break I'd bought in July as the hotel has been flooded during the summer and was unable to take any bookings.
ncrowd said they were unable to refund me as it had been more than 14 days since I'd made the booking, so they credited my account with the amount due - £84.55. I wasn't happy as it wasn't my fault the hotel couldn't take the booking.

Interestingly when I click the link of the booking confirmation email it takes me to boom street but I'm unable to log in there.
I can't remember which credit card I bought it with but just about to go check my credit card statements, Any advice how I can proceed to get my money back? :(
    TIA

I am in similar position and would be interested to know how Paypal respond.

I had 2 vouchers outstanding which the company in question refused to honour. I submitted a claim to paypal and they have refunded the money. :T

That's good. I'm not going to bother as I checked my account and I initially purchased these deals in February and had a 'store credit' onto my account in April. My own fault for not redeeming sooner.

    This link isn't working http://aabrs.turnkeyinsolvencyservices.co.uk/aabrs-login.html

The username is N0253 (N zero two five three) and the password is 55253759. Initial correspondence has been sent to all known creditors provided by the company and a copy of this circular is available on the portal.

    :(

so will send them an email. Fingers crossed

I tried to redeem a voucher in october with a local restaurant I'd used before on the deal. They said Boomstreet had gone into liquidation so weren't accepting the voucher.
At that time it looked like it was just another name change from NCrowd to BoomStreet like a while ago when it went from KGBDeals to NCrowd. When I contacted 'BoomStreet' they put the £14.95 credit in my account. Didn't think it would be a problem until I then went to use a different deal in late November which when I'd checked on it in October it was showing as a change from NCrowd to BoomStreet so looked like it had just changed name. However they informed me about the message on BoomStreet website about going into Administration and they weren't honouring vouchers either.
I was able to raise a query by going through resolution with Paypal for this £30 deal and this weekend Paypal found in my favour so I got a refund, but nothing I could do about the £14.95 'credit' on my account.
I did go through the channels as the message on BoomStreet suggested, but basicly unless you've lost a lot of money there is no point putting in a claim for the amount of paperwork involved.
It has put me off buying deals on these sites though. The only one I would still use is GroupOn.
    The end is nigh

I thought KGB had been going for almost as long as Groupon so still surprised to hear they have gone into administration. I have contacted my cc company and they are looking into it. Not too hopeful though :( I used to buy through these sites quite often but I will be more cautious now. :o

They started up not long after GroupOn and before Living Social, Wowcher, Amazon Local etc and did last a long time trading under that name. When it changed to NCrowd nothing changed for the buyer we were still able to access our accounts and use vouchers that had previously been purchased under the KGB Deals Brand, and it did appear that the same was going to happen when it changed from NCrowd to BoomStreet but with hindsight it would appear Ncrowd and BoomStreet were attempts to rescue a failing business.

Whilst we are on 'Deals' be aware Amazon Local are ceasing certain types of deals from Dec 18th. Though they say any deals purchased prior to its end will still be honoured........though they would say that, just hoping its true as I've used the Druckers £12 deal for 2 a few times and am considering purchasing before 18th Dec cause you get 59 days to redeem voucher
    The end is nigh
